When Rogene asked me to a Good Eats for the mag, I immediately said yes, but quickly realized that I might have “bit off more than I could chew,” because I don’t have the type of income that supports going to elegant, five-star restaurants, or really even have much interest in reviewing such places.  What I do have, is mad love for N Street Café’: a local coffee house/café conveniently located a few blocks from the heart of Midtown Sacramento.   N Street Café is the type of place that just “is what it is,” as they say: a café serving the best coffee in Midtown Sacramento, amazing sandwiches, and loads of other food and drinks you would typically find at a café/coffee house.  But N Street Café doesn’t try to be anything more than what I just described.   It is completely void of any of those typical “Coffee House Scenes” that you would find in most other independent coffee establishments.

When visiting N Street, you should plan on getting friendly service from owner Ramzi Sabanikh ‏and his crew of employees (whom are all female, btw) and being able to relax while you read the newspaper.   Since they have a free wireless signal you can browse the internet while you sip the famous N Street Blend coffee brew.   N Street Café is the type of place that will make a lasting impression on anyone who visits because of its genuinely warm atmosphere; something that is hard come by in this world of strip malls and drive thru’s.  If you are in the Sacramento Area, stop in, check it out, and see what the menu has to offer.  Besides enjoying “good eats,” it will be in support of independent business rather than making that huge coffee corporation richer than it already is.
